New striker Tresor Kandol aims to get Millwall's season off to a flier by firing The Lions to victory in Saturday's League One opener at Oldham Athletic.
Tresor, 27, finalised a six-month loan from Leeds United this afternoon and could be handed his debut for Kenny Jackett's side at Boundary Park.
And the powerful frontman is determined to repeat his cracking start to last season when he scored five goals in his first seven games for the Yorkshire outfit.
Millwall haven't won on the opening day of the season since August 9th 2003 when goals from Dennis Wise and Tim Cahill secured a 2-0 success against Wigan Athletic.
But London-born Tresor is relishing the prospect of getting his new team off to a perfect start by banishing those opening day blues with a three-point haul five years to the day since that victory over Wigan.
"As a striker you are always happy to get your first goal as quickly as possible to open your account for the season and that's what I want to do," he said.
"I'm here to help the team win, get goals, set up as many goals as possible, help Millwall get as high up the table as we can and keep the supporters happy.
I am really excited about the season and can't wait to get started."
