Wisty's tip

Only a few days to go until Wham-Bam Sunday! Sky have already had Grand-Slam Sunday and they have Super Sunday once a week so obviously that won't do for such a day of potential drama.
So we're calling it Wham-Bam Sunday (WBS for short) until told otherwise. So how can you make a few quid out of it on bet365?
Well possibly the race for the Premier League title. Let's assume you don't regard United (2/9) as backable and are wondering if the other west Londoners of Fulham could do it. Chelsea are 7/2 to win the league. Not bad but for that to happen United must drop points at Wigan - and that is where the value is.
Wigan are 11/1 to win the game on bet365. Now they are 11/1 for a reason - they have no chance. But what about the draw (11/2)? If Chelsea are going to win the league, that is how it will surely happen.
Wigan have never beaten United. Ever. They've only played each other six times and United have won them all, including a 4-0 thumping at Old Trafford early in the season.
But that was before Steve Bruce's arrival at the JJB and the Latics are on a decent run of late - they are unbeaten in five games since dipping 2-0 at Portsmouth on 29th March.
Of those games Wigan have beaten Birmingham at home and Villa away (both 2-0). They have drawn the other three, 1-1 at Chelsea, 1-1 at home to Spurs, and 0-0 at home to Reading.
In the same period United have struggled a bit in the league, allowing Chelsea to pull them in. Since drawing 2-2 at Middlesbrough on 6th April they have beaten Arsenal 2-1 and (shock horror!) West Ham United 4-1. Fergie's men have also drawn 1-1 at Blackburn and lost 2-1 at Chelsea.
Since winning 1-0 at Derby on 15th March United have won only once on their travels, a 2-0 success at Roma in the Champions League.
Obviously there is the feeling that Wigan are safe now so won't be trying too hard - and there is possibly the Steve Bruce factor to consider - but it's not that simple.
There is a bit of local needle involved here. Wigan is in Greater Manchester and things can get a little tribal up there. As a Wigan supporter posted on one of the independent Latics websites: "The media have treated little Wigan with more and more contempt over the last three years.
Obviously the Whelan model doesn't fit into the franchise plan of the Premier League and the coverage we get will never lead to increased crowds. To beat United would be the ultimate two-fingered salute."
Go get 'em 'Latics and make us all a few quid.
This season's Premier League totals:
Wigan at home: Won 8, drawn 5, lost 5, scored 21, conceded 15
United away: Won 9, drawn 5, lost 4, scored 31, conceded 15
