Fans Forum
Over 100 supporters attended the MSC end of season Fans Forum in the Executive Lounge at The Den on Tuesday night.
The evening was split into two halves, with Kenny Jackett, Gary Alexander and Zak Whitbread answering questions from the audience to kick off the evening.
Following a short interval, questions were then directed at executive deputy chairman Heather Rabbatts, directors Stewart Till, Jeff Burnige, Trevor Keyse, Peter Garston and Andy Ambler, plus police liaison officer Dean Leigh.
A whole range of topics were covered during the two-and-a-half hour Q & A session including:
What progress Kenny Jackett feels he has made since coming to The Den
There have been an awful lot of changes in a short period of time, a phenomenal amount. There is now a basis of a good squad. Off the field the club has a fantastic set-up with a good fan base who got behind us during difficult circumstances this season. We are now ready to go forward.
Nine players released on Tuesday
It is not a nice part of the job having to release players, but we need to streamline the squad and get the right quality of players to take us forward.
Rumours that Paul Robinson could be sold in the summer
Paul has two years left on his contract and is our captain and he will play a big part for us next season.
Update on Danny Senda's injury
He dislocated his knee cap but it appears that his cruciate ligaments are intact. There are degrees of bad news. No time scale for when he will be back other than at least six months.
Will there be any more changes in the backroom staff
I am happy with it Most of the medical staff have changed since I got here, including the fitness coach. We are going down a slightly different route now. Richard Shaw has been offered a role and Jon Goodman, an ex-player here who has his own fitness consultancy agency, will contribute too.
What are the shortfalls in the squad
The shortfalls are not enough goals since Gary (Alexander) and Lewis (Grabban) got injured; not enough options on the bench and not enough belief at times.
What has been your most memorable game
GA: Brighton at home. Having gone so long without scoring a goal and then to come out and score a hat-trick was brilliant.
ZW: Leyton Orient away. It was a derby and to score the winner was nice. It was a great atmosphere, the fans turn-out was excellent and the support they gave us right the way through made it a really special game.
What is the realistic aim for next season
We will report back for pre-season training on 1st July. Promotion is our aim. There is no point starting without aiming for the top. That will be mentioned within the first three sentances when the players report back.
What is the situation with Neil Harris
I perhaps underestimated what he can bring to the team. I got it wrong and changed my mind. The decision to offer Neil a new deal was mine, and mine alone. Neil has experience and when combined with pace and youth, he will be part of a group of four, five, possibly even six strikers who will take us forward.
How did you feel after the Swansea away game
I felt good, not necessarily because it was my ex-club, but because I felt that there was something that night in the performance of the team. Something was there to build on.
Plans for Chris Zebroski
Chris appears to have progressed well at Torquay United. He has got some goals for them this season and if you play a year in the Conference to get experience and play regularly, it can only be beneficial. We have been watching Chris closely and have offered him a contract at The Den.
What is the latest with Chris Hackett and Danny Spiller
Having them both fit will be like having two new players. I have seen a lot of Chris during his days at Oxford United, and Danny whilst he was at Gillingham. They are both hungry, good characters and have ability. Chris has also been offered a new contracta and of, course Danny is still under contract anyway.

What are the club doing to increase support in areas like Bexleyheath and north Kent
HR - In terms of our Community Scheme, they focus most of their work in our immediate boroughs of Lewisham and Southwark. There are constraints on resources and as much as it would be preferable to increase our presence further through the Community Scheme, we can't do that.
AA - We are looking at the database and seeing where the majority of Millwall supporters live. Work is in progress with Bukta, who want to look at the possibility of Asda having a small range of Millwall products if there is a 10 per cent supporters base within a two mile radius of their superstore. That would bring a bit of publicity and presence.
When will we see concrete plans for the regeneration and will it impact on the football club
HR - We expect to be able to come and talk again about the plans in around a month's time. We have always talked about the stadium staying at the heart of any project, with a hotel and enhanced sports facilities. We want to improve what we have within the stadium, improve access from the station and enhance the environment and residential areas around the stadium. The whole piece will have Millwall FC staying at the very heart of a mixed development.
There were plenty of other questions asked, including why the North Stand is not available for use by Lions fans, benefits for season ticket holders, Lenny Pidgeley's future at the club and whether any part of the Stadium or Lions Centre is going to be hired out for use in the 2012 Olympics.
