Congratulations to all those Millwall supporters who ran the London Marathon on Sunday raising thousands of pounds for a variety of charities. And thankyou to everyone who pledged to give generously in supporting them.
We now want to hear your stories. What time did you do? What were the highlights and lowpoints of your day? We also want you to send us a photo so we can produce a photo montage for the website and Carlisle match programme. Email your stories and pics to webmaster@millwallplc.com
Just to get you started, and firstly to spare his blushes, our webmaster Ian Western had a fantastic run, clocking a personal best of 2 hours 57 minutes, finishing in 866th place. At the age of 44 (and not even a member of a running club) he is guaranteed a place again for next year.
At the other end of the field, but no less praiseworthy, was press officer Andrea Tennant and her fiance Ben Warth, who walked the course in 6 hours 42 minutes, finishing 33,641st out of 34,420. Andrea has, in the past, run the event significantly quicker than that but has just completed her treatment for breast cancer, and now harbours a not so secret ambition to beat four hours next time.
Both Ian and Andrea have raised money for Breast Imaging Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich.
It's not too late to sponsor any of our runners, and we will remind you of their Just Giving addresses with their stories in the next few days. To donate to Andrea, Ben and Ian go to www.justgiving.com/andreaandben
