Nancy Osuji scored her third goal of the season - but it wasn't enough to secure victory in a fiercely competitive top-of-the-table FA Women's Premier League clash with Barnet Ladies.
Millwall went into the match at Hanwell Town Football Club knowing that a win would take them into second spot and close the gap on league leaders Fulham.
But within five minutes of the start the visitors were breathing a sigh of relief when Bees striker Madeleine Hills poked the ball home from close range, only to to see her effort disallowed for off-side.
Despite this early scare, the first half never really got going with both teams struggling to create any clear chances.
Ity was a different story after the break though, and within minutes of the restart Osuji latched onto a Katie Fanning pass and converted at the second attempt to fire Millwall ahead.
Back came The Bees, and it took a fine rearguard display to keep the home side at bay as they pressed for an equaliser.
At the opposite end, Mamuse Emosivwe and substitute Angela Kiobel caused problems on the flanks, but these positive attacks couldn't be converted into goals.
Carly Eagles came close to gaining a late second for The Lionesses when her effort on 85 minutes from an Amy Mason corner flew narrowly wide of the upright.
Bees' striker Stacy Sowden, the league's top scorer with 16 goals to her credit, fired home a late leveller despite the fact that Millwall keeper Sarah Jones was clearly injured.
It was a disappointing end to the match for The Lionesses, who take a break from competitive football this weekend before returning to action at Haringay Borough in the London Cup on Sunday 17th February.
They return to league action the following Sunday when they entertain Reading LFC at Carshalton Athletic FC.
